You will work with our tech guru, Jean-Marc Goemaere, the lead developer of the current Akamusic Website who is also one of the co-founders of Akamusic.
Jean-Marc is a very experimented and seasoned developer and he masters numerous technologies and developement tools. He previously cofounded and developed the site and back-office of Opendeal.com wich became eBay.be and Scoopeo.com a digg-like social website.
You will actively contribute to the developments of the Akamusic website & back office applications.
Your main task will be to understand, maintain and develop further all existing features of the site, backoffice applications & numerous modules.
You will be working in an open source & object-oriented environment on a variety of tools including Ruby, Rails, Javascript, Linux, standard web technologies, apache web servers, mysql databases, nginx, thin, etc...
A degree-level education in computer sciences.
You are fluent in French or English
Experience is a plus but not an absolute requirement.
As much possible knowledge and experience with:
HTML, javascript
MySQL
Linux environments
Apache web servers
ruby - javascript
MVC Framework (Rails)
rest, json, html, css, (+ rss, xml, ...)
nginx, mongrel ou thin, mysql, god ou monit, memcache
apache, ssl
php (python / perl /java un plus)
Experience in system administration and monitoring tools is an asset
